Small Business Support

The Enterprise Center offers support for regional small businesses through several signature programs.

Small business support is an important part of economic development, and The Enterprise Center approaches this mission with an innovation and equity lens. The Innovation District is an important component of the small business support strategy,  and includes such programs as a quarterly Innovation Ecosystem Tour Day, which brings business and community leaders together to spend a day networking and learning about the various resources available in Chattanooga’s innovation ecosystem. The Resiliency Checklist is an online tool that The Enterprise Center developed in order to help businesses and nonprofits organize financial and other work-related information, with the goal of helping organizations thrive in the face of the challenges associated with pandemics, natural disasters, and other crises. The Enterprise Center also publishes a weekly Innovation District newsletter with information about resources and upcoming events. Subscribe to the newsletter.

Downtown and in neighborhoods.

The Enterprise Center operates Floor Five of The Edney Innovation Center, which provides a free meeting and event space for innovators and entrepreneurs of all kinds, including small businesses. The Enterprise Center is also working with the Downtown Chattanooga Alliance (DCA) to increase foot traffic to Innovation District businesses and encourage community member support. Additionally, we work with various community partners to ensure that our tools and resources are accessible to people in every neighborhood.
