Dan Ryan receives inaugural Board Volunteer Award

danryan

The Enterprise Center’s last board meeting saw Dan Ryan named the first recipient of The Enterprise Center Board Volunteer Award.

With such an active group of community leaders on the board, The Enterprise Center team felt it crucial — if excruciatingly difficult — to recognize one board member for going above and beyond in their support for the organization, and Dan has epitomized that level of service throughout his tenure.

In just the last year, Dan has provided cybersecurity training for staff (and volunteered at a cybersecurity event for area high school and college students); worked with the team to develop a new website and to rethink branding; and built web tools to support outreach to and outcomes for HCS EdConnect families.

Dan has served on The Enterprise Center’s board and its executive committee since 2014. He has given tirelessly to The Enterprise Center, mentoring staff and solving every technical challenge thrown his way — always with an uncompromising focus on accessibility and those for whom our work matters most.

A technologist and web developer who previously served as the Director of Front-end Development for President Obama’s 2012 election campaign, Dan has since taken on numerous leadership roles in the community and was most recently named Cempa’s 2019 Champion of the Year. He has helped launch platforms like Priderasier, which harnesses the power of local soccer fans in support LGBTQ+ youth organizations, and ServiceIndsutry.tips, which raised 124,000 tips for 74,000 service workers as bars and restaurants closed during the pandemic.
