Marketing & Communications Intern

The Enterprise Center The Enterprise Center is dedicated to making the Chattanooga and Hamilton County region a place where entrepreneurs can thrive and technology helps people live better lives. We’re the organization that powers The Innovation District and the event space at The Edney, we help promote digital equity through programs like Tech Goes Home and HCS EdConnect, and we support smart city initiatives through our work with the City of Chattanooga, UTC, and other partners.

Role: Marketing & Communications Intern The Marketing and Communications intern will help The Enterprise Center build awareness of its programs and resources. You will assist the Marketing and Communications Director and other staff members in creating social media campaigns, written materials, video content, graphics, and more.

The Enterprise Center is involved in many of the initiatives that make Chattanooga a leader in technology, entrepreneurship, and quality of life — and this internship will give you the chance to be part of that work. You will also have an opportunity to develop skills based on your interest, whether it be writing, photography, graphic design, videography, or creative use of social media. We are looking for a self-starter who can bring their own ideas and goals to our team.

Specific duties of this position will include, but are not limited to: Develop a keen understanding of the mission, initiatives, and strategy of The Enterprise Center Write blog posts, highlighting TEC work and partners Assist the Marketing and Communications Director with shooting and editing video Manage social media content for The Enterprise Center and The Innovation District of Chattanooga Perform other tasks as needed including graphic design, event promotion, and more

This is a part-time (15 hr/week) position, from May or June through August, with a pay rate of $15/hour. This position will be remote as needed, due to Covid-19, but will be in-office as safety allows.
